Abstract: This research examines the impact of cooperative learning on adult education, focusing on how collaborative learning environments enhance educational outcomes for adult learners. The objectives were to evaluate the effectiveness of cooperative learning in improving academic performance, to identify key components of successful cooperative learning strategies, and to assess the challenges faced by educators and learners in cooperative learning settings. A survey research design was chosen to collect data from participants involved in cooperative learning programs, offering detailed insights into their experiences. A sample size of 250 adult learners was selected for this study. The purposive sampling technique was employed to target individuals who have experienced cooperative learning. The case study was conducted in Abuja, Nigeria, where cooperative learning is increasingly adopted in educational institutions. Findings revealed that cooperative learning significantly improved academic performance and engagement among adult learners. However, challenges such as group dynamics and resource limitations were noted. The study recommended expanding training for educators on cooperative learning methods and providing additional resources to support effective implementation.
